machine, so why not cash? Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs), which made their
debut in 1969, allow us to make cash withdrawals and deposits day or night. Of
course, the technological importance of the ATM is what lies behind it —
networking technology. The integration and cross-communication of computers has
become an integral part of the computer age and the global economy where, in
the blink of an eye, gargantuan sums can be transferred halfway around the
world.
